Data Backup & Disaster Recovery Services
A backup you have never restored from is a hope, not a plan. Allwyn Mac Services sets up and manages backup for businesses across the Philadelphia region — servers, computers, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace — with off-site copies and regular test restores, so ransomware, theft, flood or a failed drive becomes a recovery job with a known timeline. We also recover data from drives and devices that have already failed.
Managed backup
Automatic, monitored backups of servers and workstations with the retention you choose, alerts to us when a backup fails, and a monthly report. Mac and Windows covered.
Cloud backup
Encrypted off-site copies in the cloud, so a fire, theft or ransomware attack on the office cannot take the backups with it. Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace data backed up too — the suites do not do it for you.
Disaster recovery
A written plan for getting back to work: what gets restored first, where it runs, who does what and how long it takes. For critical systems, image-based backup that can be started as a virtual machine within hours.
Data recovery
Files recovered from failed hard drives, SSDs, RAID arrays, NAS units and laptops that will not start, with no fee if nothing is recoverable on standard jobs.
NAS & network backup
Network storage set up and backed up correctly — including the NAS that staff save to but nobody backs up — and server-to-server replication between sites.

Frequently Asked Questions
We use Microsoft 365. Isn't that backed up already?
Not in the way most people assume. Deleted mail and files are kept briefly, then gone, and a ransomware-encrypted OneDrive syncs the damage. A separate backup fixes both.
How often should backups run?
Servers and shared files at least every few hours, workstations daily, with off-site copies nightly. We set the schedule to how much work you can afford to redo.
Can you recover a drive that has already died?
Often, yes. Stop using the drive and bring or send it in; we assess it and quote before recovery, with no fee if nothing is recoverable on standard jobs.
How fast could we be running again after a disaster?
With image-based backup, critical servers can be running as virtual machines within hours. We set the target with you and test it.
